We try hard to ensure that all attractions meet our visitors’ high standards and we’re sorry that you were disappointed with Postman Pat Village. As the boat travelled round the lake we were joined by some hungry sealions. LongleatResort, Manager at Longleat, responded to this review Responded OctoHi, Thanks for your comments we’re pleased to know that you enjoyed the Safari Park. He's got all the mod cons on his island including satellite tv!! We also spotted a couple more gorillas relaxing outside their lakeside home, Gorilla Colony. Pat lives at Forge Cottage in Greendale with his wife Sara and son Julian, who is six years old. He is the village postman for Greendale and the head postman for the Special Delivery Service in Pencaster. The Park is strategically located near Exeter. Patrick 'Pat' Clifton, known to his friends as Postman Pat, is the main character of the series. Where is Greendale UK Greendale Business Park is a thriving business community of more than 100 companies. Bet they were tucked up nicely in their mud bed! We cruised past Gorilla Island where we spotted Nico who is a very elderly silverback gorilla. Postman Pat Village at Longleat The attraction was closed at the end of 2015 and was permanently removed in 2016. Jungle Kingdom is also home to the most dangerous animals in the park - hippos! We hopped on the boat which took us on a lovely cruise round the lake - unfortunately the hippos were no where to be seen but who can blame them with the weather we had. Loved the little monkeys in the Monkey Temple! Lots of creatures to see here including prickly porcupines, rainbow lorikeets, ferrets and chipmunks. A real shame. We began our day at Jungle Kingdom and it was brilliant to see the animals close up. Very disappointing considering customer satisfaction should be high on their agenda – they want people to go away happy and yet do nothing to rectify a poor experience even when they accept it was. With this response there was no offer for a return visit or refund – yet they accept full responsibility that the attraction was not working. I would like to assure that I will pass your comments to the Manager of the department concerned, as this is clearly not acceptable.” No help to us that the parts are on order – we have been and gone and paid a lot of money to do so. I would like to apologise to you for any disappointment caused during your recent visits. On arrival home we emailed Longleat to complain - I did get a response “We are aware of the mechanical issues you have raised with the Postman Pat attraction, and I would like to reassure you that the new parts are on order, we are expecting delivery very soon. But alas all our 2 ½ year old came away with was remembering what automated characters didn’t work – so not a positive experience at all and we were all thoroughly disappointed and didn’t live up to expectations or standards we were expecting at Longleat. Advertised was a visit by “Postman Pat” – which we asked the member of staff about and they said if they have the staff it will go ahead – not helpful with an excited 2 ½ year old, but the character did turn up. We asked a member of staff who said they’d look in to it and found someone to open it. Day 2 – again the shop was closed when we arrived. We came back later in the day and found the shop open. The attraction in itself looked tired and many of the automated figures did not work and there was a flip board which was broken – so very little to do there. We traveled a long distance as a family mainly to see Postman Pat Village – with a very excited 2 ½ year old – which after looking at the promo video looked great and we were all excited! Day 1 – when we arrived the shop wasn’t open and there were no opening times listed on the door – so we were unable to get the “letters” to post through the doors. We visited twice in the same week – day 1 was classed as off peak and day 2 was peak.
